Pristine UJUNG KULON

Photobucket

It was a short trip around pulau Peucang in Ujung Kulon National Park which is listed as the Unesco World Heritage; just not like any other beaches in Java, only few people visit for its remoteness, that somehow good to keep it pristine as it should be.. :D

Glad to be here. thx to Pak Mus who invited me to join YKII out-bond for free.. :D

BUNGIN, a Growing Island

Bungin, an island that lies about 70 kilometers west of Sumbawa is the most densely populated island in the world and the only one that keeps growing bigger and bigger in our country :) May be Bungin too small, so Wikipedia picked Java as the world winner of most densely populated island. But I’m sure Bungin is muuch tighter place to live in... I’m glad I had a chance to stay even just a day and night.

It was by a coincidence. One of blesses during my East Java-Sumbawa trip's that I met Opan, my very accommodating “guide”, a friend of friend of my friend. Never met him before, but unexpectedly I got not just a 10 days stay in his parent warm – welcoming house but also this chance to experience a short life in Bungin. it included a challenging experience of Nyulu, stabbing crap or fish or any sea creatures with long spear.. (actually I caught nothing but watched and screamed! *you know I love animals* :p)

You may check Andari (director) and Opan’s (cameraman) work about Bungin; the Crescent Moon Over the Sea, a movie that won JIFFEST Script Development Competition 2006.

Other article tells interesting facts that I witnessed them my self, such as the paper eating goat (if I can add, the goat that behaves like a dog, so mingles to human) and the way this island is getting bigger by coral rocks formation built by residents.

MOYO-SATONDA | Becoming First Indonesian Guests

Anak-anak Kampung Baru, tempat kami memulai perjalanan ke pulau Moyo.

MOYO is known as "Lady Di and Charles ever stayed" island that many Indonesian travelers think is hard to visit. But Linda-Harum-Keke proved it is not! *even for sure we not ever tried to stay in that sooo expensive yet exclusive Amanwana Resort* :p

SATONDA was famous-less, but I found that it's a very beautiful place!! Whose visitors are mostly foreign. Checking the guest book, surprisingly we found that we were the first Indonesian guests in 2008! WOW! Gurlz, we made a record!! :))))

just with BucexBoat, a <6 meters long modest yet minimalist fisherman boat, we enjoy the days and night in the sea; a lot stories! From extreme action by Linda, Harum’s severe sea sickness, to my second experience of grounded ship..*eh*..boat.. :p

enjoy the pics!
